Executive records. Consists of correspondence, certificates, journals, proceedings, petitions, and qualifications. Contains military documents (1750-1820), executive office documents (1790-1827), land records and land office papers (1668-1827), as well as documents of the Treasurer of the Western Shore, Chancery Court, Intendant of the Revenue, and commissioners of tax for various counties. Also contains county marriage records. Correspondents include governors, comptrollers, treasurers, and civil and military officials.
